As you know, COVID19 has hit our country very hard the past few months. In order to help contain the virus and have enough PPE, nurses, doctors etc available to help those who have fallen ill due to this virus and still keep up on helping those with other or additional medical needs, non essential businesses have shut down. I myself was one of those businesses. My last session took place on March 17th and I am just now permitted to partially reopen. I am currently able to provide socially distant outdoor sessions. But I did have to come up with a plan for studio sessions once those can resume. My hope is that they can resume in July 2020.
Coming up with a safe & clean plan wasn't difficult for me at all. I am been following studio safety protocols for many years. I have always made sure to only work while healthy, only allow healthy clients into my studio, sanitize and clean between sessions and wash/sanitize any props used between clients. For me, this is and has been the norm. I am adding a few extra steps but nothing crazy. Additional Steps: Guests in the studio will be limited. Only the parents and/or siblings of the newborn or baby being photographed can attend the session. No friends, grandparents, cousins, aunts or uncles etc. If mom has had a c-section and cannot drive herself and needs one adult to assist her please contact me. Only those who are participating in the session should attend. Please only one parent per session unless both parents are being photographed for a newborn session. Siblings must not attend unless the parent attending does not have someone to watch the siblings. No outside props can be brought into the studio. No shoes can be worn past the entry of the studio. Studio sessions will ONLY be available for newborns - 4 months of age from July 2020 until mid October 2020. Once the weather gets colder and not safe for a baby, I will be taking a limited number of older baby milestone sessions for my studio. Studio sessions must have two hours scheduled between them to ensure proper cleaning and sanitizing can take place. This will limit the number of studio session per day. I will be wearing a mask during all studio sessions. If you have a mask and are willing to wear one, I would appreciate it, but I am not going to make you. You will have to sit in the sitting area and remain there for the session. It is 6 feet from where I photograph newborns and babies and in the same room so you can see me and your baby. You cannot stand near me, behind me or closer than the sitting area unless you are wearing a mask. *These are additional steps, please see the photo below for the complete list of safety measures that are being enforced.
